SCOR Cologne offers an attractive and individual Trainee Program for Graduates in economics or insurance sciences with a focus on finance. We are looking for highly qualified, motivated and enthusiastic persons, interested to work amongst others in our different teams starting in May 2021.

Main characteristics of the Graduate Trainee Program:

• Length of program between 18 months

• On the job training – with a strong focus on finance and reporting

• Participation in relevant technical projects, accompanied by a mentor

Key duties and responsibilities:

• Support of the production of the quarterly IFRS consolidation package and Solvency II (Pillar 3) reporting for Service and Reinsurance legal entities/branches of the HUB Zurich-Cologne including appendices, variance analysis and explanatory memos etc.
• Support of the production of the HGB Statutory accounts for the Cologne branch
• Assisting in the preparation of the national bank (Bundesbank) reporting
• Reconciliation of interfaced data from sub-ledgers in SAP (e.g. reinsurance-technical accounting interface)
• Support of the Financial Accounting team in daily business (i.e., booking of accruals, payment runs, bank statements, clearing/analysis of accounts, etc.)
• Checking of non-reinsurance-technical payment runs for correctness of vendor and bank data
• Liquidity planning and reporting
• Support of local & Group Finance projects

Your profile:

Essential:

• degree in business administration (BBA/MBA) or comparable degree
• IFRS & HGB accounting knowledge
• Very good German and English language skills

Desirable:  

• Tax/VAT accounting knowledge
• Knowledge about (Re)insurance accounting beneficial
• Ability to work autonomously
• Good IT skills in MS-Office products (especially Excel) and SAP-FI
