Are you interested in working on interdisciplinary projects between computer-science/engineering and logistics?

The Chair of Materials Handling and Warehousing (FLW) at TU Dortmund is hiring student assistants (Bachelor and Master students). The work is within the Innovationlab project (https://www.innovationlab-logistics.com) which is an interdisciplinary research project between TU Dortmund and Fraunhofer IML. The research focus points of the project are Logistics 4.0, autonomous mobile robots in warehouses, Drone swarm, RF applications in logistics. Our lab is equipped with an advanced VICON motion capturing system, Laser system, a variety of mobile robots, an array of cameras, Radio nodes for prototyping applications, a swarm of drones, and a lot of other innovative technologies.

We are interested in hiring students from computer-science/engineering backgrounds. The main skill required is understanding of 3D computer vision concepts. The research focus point is deep learning applications in robotics and logistics, but knowledge of deep learning is not required. Good programming experience in python is expected, as well as Linux.
